The City of Ryde’s vision for play is to support and nurture children and family friendly communities through play. In August 2020, Council adopted the Blenheim Park Masterplan which included a new large regional level playground.

We would like to hear your thoughts on the new playground design including what features you like, your ideas and suggestions.

The new inclusive playground is designed to ensure that the play space is accessible for people of all abilities and has play opportunities for a broad range of age groups. The new playground responds to the existing natural elements within Blenheim Park and its hidden history. As such the playground has a forest and creek theme. It's proposed to have features such as:

  • climbing play
  • tree houses
  • sand play
  • water play
  • swings
  • slides
  • a flying fox
  • trampolines
  • adventure / nature play trail (with crocodiles!)
  • an accessible pathway through the space that will also be a scooter path
  • picnic areas with accessible BBQs and picnic settings

A proposed new amenities building will complement the playground and include accessible toilets, ambulant toilets and change rooms for children that use the water play area.

CLOSED Drop-in Sessions

You're invited to come and meet with Council's Project Team, ask any questions you may have and provide your feedback on the draft concept design.
