The City of Ryde is developing a new Community Facilities Strategy to guide the provision of Council-owned facilities into the future. Your input is important to ensure these facilities meet the current and future needs of our diverse community.

If you live, work, study or visit the City of Ryde, we want to hear from you. You may be a user of the City of Ryde facilities, a tenant of a Council-owned building or, have not used Council’s facilities in the past. Your feedback will help us better understand how existing facilities are used and what improvements or additions might be needed.

The Strategy covers a broad range of Council-owned facilities including:

  • Community centres and hubs
  • For-hire venues
  • Libraries
  • Historical houses
  • Sports, recreation and leisure facilities with the potential to be used for community activities
  • Council-owned buildings that are under agreement with organisations for providing community support services.

Drop-in Sessions

Council's Social and Cultural Development Team are hosting drop-in sessions for the Library Strategy 2026 - 2031. These sessions also offer our community further opportunities to provide feedback on the Community Facilities Strategy in person. Join us at the drop-in sessions below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Council-owned sports and recreation facilities are places owned and managed by City of Ryde Council that are designed for sports, leisure, and wellbeing, such as buildings located in parks, and under agreement with sports and community groups.
