Council is proposing to name a new road within the City as follows:

Proposed name: Growers Road
History of name: The name continues the market garden theme of the adjacent Harvest Street, to reflect the many farms that covered the northern part of the Ryde LGA in the early part of last century.
Where: New road running off Waterloo Road, adjacent to Catherine Hamlin Park and near Harvest Street, Macquarie Park. The new public road runs north-east from Waterloo Road for approximately 200m to intersect with a proposed extension of Dirrabari Road.

This notice is hereby given under Section 7 of the Roads Regulation 2018. Council has conformed to the requirements of the Geographical Names Board (GNB) as described in the NSW Road Naming Policy available on the GNB website at www.gnb.nsw.gov.au
