Council is committed to support the increasing demand and improve equitable access to dog off-leash areas across the City of Ryde. At its meeting on the 25 July 2023, Council identified new areas across Ryde as potential sites for dog off-leash areas.

Therefore, Council is commencing a community consultation for the proposed trial of six (6) additional unfenced dog off-leash areas, which will run from Tuesday 3 October 2023 - Sunday 7 January 2024.

The proposed trial of dog off-leash areas include:

  • Eastwood Park, Eastwood (lower field) (when not used for organised sporting activities booked by Council)
  • Granny Smith Memorial Park, Eastwood
  • Pioneer Park, Marsfield (when not used for organised sporting activities booked by Council)
  • Waterloo Park North, Marsfield (northern area on Vimiera Rd)
  • Banjo Paterson Park, Gladesville (excluding weekends and public holidays)
  • Lardelli Park, Ryde

Council would like to hear your thoughts on the proposal to trial the above six (6) new dog off-leash areas.

Please note, the dog off-leash trial has not commenced at the above six (6) locations. However, a trial may commence following consideration of the feedback received during this public exhibition. If the trial occurs, Council will then install a dog bowl, dog waste bin and bag dispenser at each location.
